There is nothing more exciting than starting a new chapter, especially when it means accomplishing long held dreams. After 8 years as a REALTOR® at Coldwell Banker, top real estate agent in Georgia Rebecca Wilder partnered with her new broker and dear friend, and opened an office in Milledgeville, Georgia on Lake Sinclair. Just a year since its beginning, the office is off to a strong start. Specializing in negotiation, customer service, home search and comparative market analysis, Rebecca and her team serve a diverse client base, from first-time homebuyers and college grads to retirees looking for a second home on the lake.
Covering both the lake country and middle Georgia, Rebecca is responsible for properties that range between $500K and $2M. However, no matter what the price-point, she treats everyone with the same high-level of service. “We have the ability to take time with each client and show them what this area has to offer. That is what we want to be known for,” she says. As the lake country is a peaceful place with a slower pace of life, people often move there to put the rat race behind them. “They are buying homes that they have worked hard for and I want them to have a great experience throughout the whole process.”
While she receives many referrals, Rebecca also uses platforms like Homesnap, MLS, Facebook, and a local magazine called Reminder Media to share her listings. Clients can also expect little touches like postcards, emails, and phone calls throughout the year from Rebecca. “When it comes to selling a home,” Rebecca explains, “It’s all about the lakeside of the house. The front isn’t as important — you have to take them out on the boat to see the house from the lake.”
Particularly around the holidays, Rebecca makes a point of giving back to her community. She supports Toys for Tots and is a Putnam County Chamber of Commerce member. She also volunteers with Meals on Wheels for senior citizens in Baldwin County. Next year, she will be leading classes at the senior center about how real estate affects the senior market and how multigenerational living can solve a lot of issues in a difficult time.
On average, Rebecca sells 20+ properties per year, but she’s just getting started. She’s putting a lot of energy into growing her new office in 2023 and is excited for the opportunity to assist clients entirely on her own terms going forward. “This is the biggest investment most people make in their lives and I want to help them understand the process from start to finish.”
