Passionate about helping others, Stephanie Overton has become a top producing agent in the northern metropolitan area of Atlanta. She got her start as a REALTOR® after working in homebuilding for 15 years. “I was in the accounting and purchasing department,” she explains. “So I was in charge of everything relating to building the homes and negotiating contracts.” When Stephanie and her husband were in the process of adopting their son, Stephanie needed to find another path that allowed more flexibility in her schedule. “The VP of Sales for the homebuilder I worked for encouraged me to get my license, so I did,” she says. Years later, she’s thriving as an agent and has recently teamed up with fellow agent Jimmie Starrett, who she met in real estate school.

The North Metro area is known for its safe and beautiful neighborhoods. There are even larger companies moving to this region, and the quality of life is high. “We have so many walking trails, downtown areas with shops and restaurants, and great hiking,” Stephanie says. “The mountains are not far from us, either.” A growing portion of Stephanie’s business derives from referrals, as those who choose to work with her are blown away by her support and guidance. Honest and easy to talk to, Stephanie’s clients know she has their back. “Because we are so open with each other, they are not timid about telling me if they don’t like a property,” she says. Stephanie never puts pressure on them to make decisions, knowing this is one of the largest investments they will ever make. “I truly believe you have to be 100% on the house that you live in, and the relationship with your agent has to be awesome, because if not, then that transaction is going to be extremely hard to get through.” Communication is one of Stephanie’s top priorities, as she understands this can make or break a relationship. She makes herself constantly available, ready to answer any questions and explaining every step along the way.

After the transaction, clients leave five-star reviews about their time together. One recently said, “Stephanie is truly the best! We are not the easiest buyers around. Our son has special needs so it usually takes us a while to find an appropriate home. Stephanie is extremely patient and helped us navigate a challenging market in the northern Atlanta area. She was always on our side and responded very fast when new listings hit. It was honestly a pleasure, don’t know what we would have done without you! Thanks again.”

Community is an important part of Stephanie’s life, so she makes sure to donate regularly. She was previously involved in several different organizations, including Atlanta Angels, where she served on the Board of Directors as Secretary. “It’s near and dear to my heart because it helps foster families, and we adopted our child through the foster care system,” she says.

Looking towards the future, Stephanie hopes to one day earn her broker’s license to help expand her knowledge base even further. She also plans to grow her team by adding a couple more agents. “I just love what I do and can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
