A new four-bedroom mountain house near Lake Tahoe, a midcentury split-level house in Oakland, and a 1938 Mediterranean-style house in Los Angeles.

This newly built four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath house is in Tahoe Donner, a homeowners association in the town of Truckee where amenities include swimming pools, downhill and cross-country ski trails, and access to a private beach on Donner Lake. The property has its own trail linking it to the community’s trails. The bars and restaurants in downtown Truckee are 10 minutes away by car.

Kings Beach, on the California side of Lake Tahoe, is 30 minutes away. Reno, Nev., is 32 miles northeast. Sacramento is 100 miles southwest.

Size: 2,636 square feet

Price per square foot: $624

Indoors: Wood steps lead from the driveway up to the front door, which opens to the foyer, where more stairs rise to the main living area. An exposed beam runs across the center of the living room ceiling, and glass doors slide open to the mountain-facing deck. Wide-plank hickory pine floors continue into the dining area, which faces the kitchen. Another set of sliding-glass doors opens from the dining area to the back patio.

In the kitchen, countertops are white quartz and cabinets are knotty pine. Open shelving lines the walls above the sink. A laundry room and a powder room are off the kitchen, as is a guest bedroom with its own bathroom. The primary suite, also on this level behind wooden double doors, has windows with treetop views and a bathroom with a double vanity.

Two more bedrooms, both large enough to hold queen-size beds, are on the top floor, along with a full bathroom and a lofted area overlooking the living room below.

Outdoor space: The primary outdoor space is the front deck, which offers sweeping views of the mountains and enough space for a dining table and a grill. The patio behind the house is paved. The garage has two parking spots and space for storing ski equipment.
