This five-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom house in Detroit’s North End has undergone an extensive remodel beginning in 2017, with additions including new windows, new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a new deck. Paint inside and out is also new, and the sellers turned the attic into more living space, complete with a full bathroom.

Downtown Detroit is a 10-minute drive south. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is 30 minutes away, and Windsor, Ontario, is a 25-minute drive across the Detroit River. Pocket doors separate this space from the formal dining room, which connects to the kitchen via a butler’s pantry. The kitchen has custom-built cabinets, butcher block counters and a stainless steel range with a gas cooktop. On the other side of the kitchen is a breakfast nook with dark green walls. Off the butler’s pantry is a powder room with floral-print wallpaper.

Stairs climb from the living room to the second floor and four of the home’s five bedrooms. The primary bedroom is at the back of the house, with large windows and a walk-in closet. The bedroom across the hall has access to a small balcony. Two additional guest bedrooms at the front of the house have ample closet space. The bathroom has glossy black and mint-green tiles lining the floors and walls.

The attic level has a loft-style area used as a den and another large bedroom, plus a bathroom with black-and-white checkerboard floors and a glass-walled shower. The basement holds a washer and dryer and could be finished for use as more living space.
