The awesome part about buying a home that’s been renovated on TV is that you get to see exactly what went into the remodel—for better or worse.

In the case of this three-bedroom home in Trabuco Canyon, CA, the first-time flippers benefited immensely from the counsel of Tarek El Moussa. And now, a buyer can score the finished product as seen on TV.

Featured in Season 2 of HGTV’s “Flipping 101,” the novice flippers remodeled a home that originally thwarted two other flippers. They’ve transformed it into a modern gem now on the market for $1,050,000.

Built in 1977, the house had been listed for as much as $849,000 in 2018. At that time, remodeling was still in progress.

The flippers scored a deal for the partly finished, 2,060-square-foot home in August 2020, paying just $427,000. They shelled out an additional $220,000 on renovations with El Moussa’s guidance.

They apparently spent more after the cameras were turned off, because the house features even more improvements than we saw in the “Ups and Downs in the Hills” episode, which aired in November 2021.

El Moussa recommended they list the home for $925,000. But with real estate prices rising across the country, the home hit the market this week at a smidge over $1 million.

The home improvements included the addition of decks with views of the canyon and hills.
