A brick house in Savanah, a converted schoolhouse in Salem and a colonial-revival house in Takoma Park.

This four-bedroom, two-bathroom house is in Savannah’s Ardsley Park neighborhood, around 15 minutes by car from downtown. Daffin Park, with a public swimming pool and a 4,000-seat minor league baseball stadium, is a few blocks away, as is Ardsley Surf Shack, a kitschy local photo spot. Public elementary, middle, and high schools are within a 10-minute drive.

Driving out to the beaches of Tybee Island takes around half an hour, and Hilton Head, S.C., takes about an hour. Charleston is a two-and-a-half hour drive, and Atlanta takes four-hours.

Size: 2,620 square feet

Price per square foot: $267

Indoors: A paved path leads from the sidewalk to the front door, set beneath a fanlight window.

Inside is a foyer with hardwood floors and a staircase rising to the second level. To the right is the living room, where the fireplace has a decorative iron grate and a painted brick surround. Bookshelves are built into one wall. Behind this space is the dining room, with floral-print wallpaper above white wood paneling, and a brass candle-style chandelier.

Doors open from one side of the dining room to a sunroom. At the back of this level is the kitchen, where the range has an electric cooktop and a laundry room around the corner has penny tile floors and a stacked washer and dryer. A full bathroom is nearby has a walk-in shower and a wall of whitewashed exposed brick.

Three of the four bedrooms are on the second floor, including the primary bedroom, with its own fireplace and a large closet. The bathroom, next door, has a combined tub and shower, and two guest rooms each can hold a queen-size bed. One of the guest bedrooms has hardwood floors painted green and the other has blue walls. The fourth guest room is on the attic level, with angled ceilings and street-facing windows.
