Docusign, positioning itself as “the intelligent agreement management” company after a brand overhaul, has a large presence throughout all categories of real estate, integrating with transactions management systems, property management tools, leasing applications and other end-to-end contract-based solutions. It can quickly capture signatures, alert stakeholders to contract views and edits and maintain secure multi-party collaboration.

It’s now offering its customers a better way to access an ecosystem in RentSpree that they may often need to call into use, or outright adopt.

At Inman Connect New York in January, Docusign CEO Allan Thygesenv said the company is pushing into new territory in the coming months with its Transaction Spaces solution, featuring end-to-end agreement flows.

“The more you try to invent needs based on technology as opposed to starting from the customer pain point and going back, the more you run into trouble,” Thygesen said. “The real estate transaction is very complex. It’s the most important purchase people make in their lifetimes; it has a tremendous amount of documents and steps and parties involved, a lot of risk, and those pieces are barely stitched together. Mostly they’re stitched together by Realtors.”

RentSpree wants to avoid being one of those stitches.

The company has built a reputation for advancing how renters and residential sales agents work together; the new partnership should provide its agent customers with a more common user experience, one they often see with listing agreements and offer to purchase contracts, among others.

Many of RentSpree’s products are free to agents and brokers.

“RentSpree is very strategic in the partnerships we seek with other technology providers,” Michael Lucarelli, CEO at RentSpree, said in a statement. “Collaborations with industry leaders such as Docusign are key to our mission, which is laser-focused on making the daily lives of agents and brokers easier and more efficient.”

RentSpree announced a partnership with Realtor.com in January, agreeing on a rental syndication deal. The relationship will feature RentSpree’s “homegrown” listings for available apartments stemming from its many property management agreements, which include the ability to advertise vacant units.

RentSpree has more than 300 associations and MLSs in its partner network that primarily use its ApplyLink solution, a single browser experience that automates application collection, screening, approval and other property management operations critical to securing occupancy.
