Spain’s third-largest city offers stylish condos and seaside villas.

Valencia, the capital of the eponymous Spanish province on the coast of the Balearic Sea, offers a diversity of lifestyles, anchored by its artistic and culinary traditions, the City of Arts and Sciences cultural and architectural complex designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, and The Falles, a local festival held each March. Until 2013, the city hosted the Formula One European Grand Prix; it hosts the final race of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing (MotoGP) each November.

Valencia is served by an international airport and high-speed trains from Madrid, 227 miles northwest, and Barcelona, 217 miles north along the coastline.

The 1920 building, with four apartments per floor, is close to the historic Central Market of Valencia, Europe’s largest fresh-produce market and one of the city’s premier examples of Valencian Art Nouveau style. Also nearby are the Museo Nacional de Cerámica y Artes Suntuarias “González Martí and the Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero museum.
